By accessing and using ScamCheck ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

ScamCheck provides an AI-powered scam detection service that analyzes messages, documents, images, and links for potential scam indicators. The service includes:

• Real-time text message analysis using AI models
• Image and screenshot analysis for scam detection
• Document analysis (PDF, Word, and other file formats)
• Link and domain risk assessment with lookalike detection
• URL expansion for shortened links
• Domain reputation checking via third-party data
• Email forwarding analysis (via [email protected])
• Confidence scoring and verdict classification
• Simple Mode and Detailed Mode analysis views
• Live Scam Trends and statistics dashboard
• Scan history storage for authenticated users
• Shareable scan result links
• User feedback collection for service improvement

3. Use License

Permission is granted to use ScamCheck for personal, non-commercial purposes. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• Modify or copy the materials except for personal use
• Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on ScamCheck
• Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
• Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-access the service

4. AI Analysis Limitations

Important: Our AI analysis is provided as a helpful reference and is not a guarantee. It should not be considered legal, financial, or professional advice. Specifically:

• The service may produce false positives (flagging legitimate messages as scams) or false negatives (failing to detect actual scams)
• AI models may not detect all types of scams, especially novel or sophisticated ones
• Domain reputation data and link analysis rely on third-party sources that may be incomplete or outdated
• Image and document analysis depends on content quality and may miss text in low-resolution images
• Email forwarding analysis is subject to the same limitations as text analysis
• Users are responsible for exercising their own judgment and should not rely solely on our analysis for critical decisions

5. User Accounts and Authentication

ScamCheck offers optional user accounts via Manus OAuth authentication. Account features include:

• Scan history storage and management
• Personalized settings and preferences
• Ability to share scan results via unique links
• Account deletion with full data removal

The core scanning functionality is available without creating an account. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

6. User Responsibilities

Users of ScamCheck agree to:

• Not use the service for any unlawful or harmful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer or access the AI models
• Not submit content that violates others' privacy or intellectual property rights
• Not abuse the email forwarding service for spam or bulk analysis
• Exercise their own judgment and not rely solely on our analysis
• Report inaccurate results through the feedback mechanism
• Not use the service to facilitate or validate scam operations

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The materials on ScamCheck are provided on an "as is" basis. ScamCheck makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. ScamCheck does not warrant that the AI analysis will be accurate, complete, or free from errors. The service is provided for informational purposes only.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ScamCheck or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on ScamCheck, even if ScamCheck or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. This includes but is not limited to damages resulting from reliance on AI analysis results, failure to detect scams, or incorrect classification of legitimate messages.

9. Third-Party Services

ScamCheck integrates with third-party services for domain reputation data, URL expansion, and other features. ScamCheck is not responsible for the accuracy or availability of these third-party services. Links analyzed by the service are not endorsed by ScamCheck, and visiting any analyzed link is at the user's own risk.

10. Modifications

ScamCheck may revise these terms of service at any time without prior notice. By continuing to use the service after changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. We encourage users to review these terms periodically.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ScamCheck operates, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
